High internal and external quality standards and a commitment to sustainable and resource-conserving behaviour are firmly anchored in VCDB's day-to-day operations and are actively practised by all employees. VCDB has established an integrated management system in accordance with ISO 9001 (quality management system, certified since 2005) and ISO 14001 (environmental management system, certified since 2014) in order to fulfil these requirements in the long term.
Project work at many locations throughout Europe means that frequent business trips. In order to organise these with the lowest possible environmental impact, the main means of travel is by train. Alternatively, cars from the VCDB pool are used. This currently consists of 5 fully electric cars and 3 hybrid vehicles. Any remaining ICE vehicles are gradually being phased out. In the case of unavoidable air travel, CO2 emissions are compensated by certificates or the use of sustainable aircraft fuel.
