Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) AöR

The Berliner Verkehrsgesellschaft (BVG) is the largest public transport company in Germany and operates public transport in Berlin. BVG operates an extensive network with 9 underground lines, over 150 bus lines, 22 tram lines and 6 ferries. Around 300 km of trams, 160 km of underground and around 1,800 km of buses as well as six ferry lines and 16,000 employees transport around 3.5 million passengers every day. BVG holds a 24.9 % stake in the VCDB.

Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG (DVB) operates public transport in Dresden. A comprehensive network of 12 tram and 29 bus lines as well as 3 Elbe ferries and two heritage-protected mountain railways cover the city and surrounding regions. Around 500,000 passengers are transported every day. DVB holds 74.9% of the VCDB shares and, with its approx. 2,000 employees, provides a broad pool of resources that the VCDB can draw on.
