Testing and documentation software

The "Mobile Inspection Assistant - MIIA 2.0" - is a software for Android smartphones/tablets and is programmed exclusively for VCDB. The second version is now used in all projects and is constantly being developed further.

An essential part of our work is the documentation of the test results. This has to fulfil various requirements:

  • Based on Android operating system
  • Standardised, for submission to federal authorities
  • Checklists are centrally managed and therefore always up-to-date
  • Access to protocols and results at any time
  • Simple tracking of open points
  • Comprehensible and informative for our customers

Follow-up of open points

In every project and in almost every project phase, issues, deficiencies and questions are raised that cannot be clarified immediately. For this reason, MIIA keeps a "list of open points". Open issues are - literally - "stuck" to the respective module like a notepad.

If defects remain open after an inspection and cannot be confirmed as "rectified", they are automatically output in the form of a checklist for the subsequent stops (e.g. after corrosion protection, intermediate inspection) - until they have been rectified.

For the factory inspection, MIIA queries and displays all outstanding points for all modules of the vehicle.
